Celebs and superstars flock to Long Island in 2011

2010 was quite a year on Long Island for superstar peformances and celeb sightings. Rihanna, Ke$ha and the Jonas Brothers took the stage at Jones Beach. Justin Bieber brought his teenybop fever to the kids at Long Beach Middle School. Taylor Swift and Dave Matthews Band rocked the stage at Nassau Coliseum. And who can forget Kim Kardashian, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and DJ Pauly D hobnobbing at superclub Glo.

So, as this year comes to a close, we look ahead to 2011. Although Nikon at Jones Beach hasn't announced its shows yet, there are a number of celebrity events and major concerts to look forward to.

Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi book signing at Book Revue (Jan. 11)

"Jersey Shore" is back Jan. 6 with Season 3. "A Shore Thing," Snooki's novel (yes, novel) hits shelves Jan. 4. She'll make an appearance at the Huntington bookstore to sign copies.

Johnny Weir book signing and discussion at Book Revue (Jan. 12)

"Welcome to My World," anecdotes and essays from the skating star and pop culture phemon, is to be released Jan. 11. Weir will sign copies in Huntington and discuss his first book.

Whitney Port book signing at Book Revue (Feb. 3)

The star of MTV's now-canceled "The City" and a supporting character from "The Hills," Whitney Port will sign copies of "True Whit: Designing a Life of Style, Beauty and Fun," out Feb. 1.

Miranda Cosgrove at NYCB Theatre at Westbury (Feb. 13)

Rascal Flatts at Nassau Coliseum (Feb. 25)

The country crooners tour in support of 2010's "Nothing Like This." Their latest hit single is "Why Wait."  >>Buy tickets

Clay Aiken at NYBC Theatre at Westbury (Feb. 26)

New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys (June 11)

Sade at Nassau Coliseum (June 21)
