When Heart of the Hamptons organizers asked style expert Clinton Kelly to help honor Dr. Todd K. Rosengart at their Bridgehampton gala Saturday, he immediately agreed. “Dr. Rosengart performed my father’s quadruple bypass at Stony Brook,” said Kelly, who grew up in Port Jefferson, where Dad still lives.
But it will be a quick Hamptons appearance for the Macy’s spokesman and TLC star. “I’m working Friday night and Sunday, so I’m just going out for the day,” he continued. “‘What Not to Wear’ is on our ninth season, and we’re working all through the summer.”
Clinton, who just finished Macy’s Million Dollar Makeover, often gives style tips on the "Today" show, "Good Morning Amerca" and "The View." This fall, he’ll join celebrity chefs Mario Batali, Michael Symon and Carla Hall as well as healthy living guru Daphne Oz, around the kitchen table co-hosting “The Chew,” ABC’s new daily hour show devoted to food and entertaining.
Come July 4, you’ll find Kelly throwing his annual barbeque at his Connecticut home. “I make the world’s best turkey burgers and potato salad, so I’ll be knockin’ those out,” he told us “I haven’t quite figured out the cocktails yet, but I make a boozy ‘Arnold Palmer’ (half ice tea, half lemonade). Add a shot of bourbon and it’s delicious.”
“Good Day New York” co-host Rosanna Scotto will serve as emcee of the 15th Annual Heart of the Hamptons Ball at the Hayground School. For tickets, email email@example.com.
