While there's nothing quite as nice as a good Hamptons summer warm-up party in the spring, this winter precursor may be the earliest ever.
More than just a seasonal standard, a day at Neptune's Beach Club with Long Island's own DJ Theo Pisani is practically a rite of passage. Spinning at the aforementioned summer-only seaside dance club in East Quogue for several years, his ability to get a crowd moving with his musical selection has ranked him among the nation's top mixers on many critical lists -- and beyond that, he is also known for a number of successful albums and song remixes.
Usually found during the colder months at Manhattan's Pacha nightclub, on Saturday, Feb. 19, he'll be dropping beats at Southampton's 75 Main -- the former local watering hole and restaurant that was suddenly reborn as a hip lounge late in July 2010 when celebrity DJ Lee Kalt started his Soixante-Quinze Saturday events there with little fanfare (but great reviews).
Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door starting at 10 p.m. Call 631-283-7575 for more info.
