The event will showcase 10 live local bands and entertainers on a solar-powered stage, and will feature local wineries, renewable energy exhibits and hands-on demonstrations, healthy and organic food, a farmers market, local artists and natural, handcrafted products for sale.
Sure, all the events and freebies are great. Even better that the two-day family-friendly event comes with an important message to boot -- live green!
GreenFest organizers ask that all attendees bring a nonperishable food item, household item or personal care product to support the local food bank, CAST (Community Action Southold Town). Tickets are available at the gate and are $3 for adults; children under 12 get in free.
The first 200 paid adult ticket holders each day who bring a nonperishable donation for CAST will receive a free GreenFest T-shirt.
