It's Girl Scout Cookie time, and this year the Girl Scouts (who turn 100 this year) have added a cookie to the lineup. Savannah Smiles honor the Georgia hometown of Juliette Gordon Low, who founded the Girl Scouts in March 1912.
The new cookies, vaguely smile-shaped and dusted with powdered sugar, are a one-bite affair, half the size of a Trefoil.
Savannah Smiles are pleasantly crumbly and not too sweet, although to this taster, the "lemon" flavor is simultaneously a little too tart and not quite lemony enough.
Thin Mints, you have nothing to be nervous about.Savanah Smiles, Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, Do-Si-Dos and Trefoils are all available for $4 a box at a Girl Scout near you.
