Even the most casual of pub party observers would likely agree St. Patrick's Day is hands-down the biggest holiday for bar bashes, bar none. Unfortunately, for those among us who can't wait for the green clothes, drink deals, bagpipers, removable shamrock tattoos, cabbage, corned beef and copious crowds that tend to accompany related events held on March 17 is that -- as of this writing -- it is still September 2014, which means all of those aforementioned festivities are about a half-year away from happening.
On the other hand, going six months early isn't a problem for some.
As such doings have been previously accomplished, some Long Island bars, pubs and other hangouts will once again be hosting “Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day” socials on various dates throughout mid-September -- so if you're already on the lookout for which LI hot spots will be celebrating this month like it’s March 2015, here are some upcoming options:

WHEN: Saturday, Sept. 13
THE DEAL: Hosted by the Hampton Bays chapter of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, this four-hour event will provide a wide selection of entertainment, such as an auction, a 50/50 raffle (raffle tickets are $50 each), Irish step dancers, corned beef and cabbage, a cash bar and live music from Celtic rock/ folk band 26 & 6. Doors open at 6 p.m.; admission is $20.

WHEN: Wednesday, Sept. 17
THE DEAL: Faddy’s has already announced a shindig featuring a corned beef and cabbage buffet, green beer, drink specials and giveaways.

WHEN: Sept. 19-21
THE DEAL: This spot’s ownership (the same that owns Lily Flanagan’s in Babylon) is known to go all-out for its St. Patrick’s Day parties -- and that approach is to also hold true for its “Halfway” event, a three-day soiree already slated to offer sets of live music, bagpipers and Irish dancers.

THE DEAL: Starting at 5 p.m., attendees will receive specials on Irish coffee and Guinness beer, Irish food and live music -- as well as a special door prize for one lucky customer.

THE DEAL: This microbrewery has a five-hour gathering (1 p.m.-6 p.m.) in the offing that’s to feature 12 beers on tap, food trucks serving empanadas and grilled cheese sandwiches plus live music by band Bangers and Mash. Tickets are available for $20 in advance at libeerevents.com/halfway.
