Saturday features family fun, film stars, famous faces and fast-wheeling females.

1. Kelly Rutherford has played wild women on TV's "Melrose Place" and "Gossip Girl," but Saturday she'll be helping to raise funds for research to fight pediatric cancer at the "Roar for a Cure Carnival" at The East Hampton Indoor Tennis Club (175 Daniels Hole Rd., East Hampton). From 2 to 6 p.m., this family day will include prizes, games, miniature golf, inflatables, a giant slide and balloon artists plus unlimited gourmet food and beverages, raffles, auctions, complimentary gift bags and live music. Tickets are $125 (15 and under $50) and can be reserved at maxcurefoundation.org or by calling 631-329-5480.

2.Nominated for four Academy Awards, actress Julianne Moore will be turning her star power toward fundraising for the special "What's on the Table?" dinner. Starting at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, this occasion will also feature celebrity chef Tom Colicchio ("Top Chef"), his wife, documentary director Lori Silverbush, and Vanity Fair magazine in support of United Way's fight against hunger. Ticket prices are still being decided, and the location is at a private home in Sagaponack; email for more information and ticket purchase.

3. The notion that $10 can make for a full day of fun in the Hamptons may sound unlikely, but from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, the Bridgehampton Historical Society will hold a country fair, and admission is just that much. The fair on the BHS grounds (2368 Montauk Hwy., Bridgehampton) will offer country crafts, folk art, music and barnyard animals -- all to raise funds for the Amaryllis Farm Equine Rescue.

4. And now for the "bet-you-haven't-seen-this-in-the-Hamptons-before" benefit: The LIRR -- as in the Long Island Roller Rebels all-female roller derby team -- is having a fundraiser Saturday at 7 p.m. Being held at The Boardy Barn in Hampton Bays (270 W. Montauk Hwy, 631-728-9733, boardybarn.com), this night is designed to garner donations to help with the team's travel needs. It will feature raffles, an auction, DJs and live music. Cover is $20; 21 and over only.
