Justin Townes Earle, a modern troubadour who appeared with his dad, Steve Earle, in the HBO series "Treme," models his songwriting after his hero, Woody Guthrie.

His twang won him recognition as the best new and emerging artist in the 2009 Americana Music Awards. Amazon.com ranked his "Harlem River Blues" No. 7 country CD of 2010, and "One More Night in Brooklyn" among its top 40 songs of the year. Plus, last year, GQ magazine named him one of the best-dressed men in the world.

See if he can live up to haute couture expectations in this post-New Year's concert Saturday night at Boulton Center in Bay Shore. Tickets are $25.
