Tired of the rain and dark clouds these days?
Escape at the humdrum weather with more appealing scenes at the “Annual Landscape Show” at Studio East Gallery in Greenport.
The exhibition, featuring the North Shore Art Guild and Studio East members Anna Franklin and Barbara Bilotta, has about 70 landscape, seascape and moonscape paintings, photographs and mixed-media pieces. The show closes June 4.
Franklin showcases moonlight, storms and sunsets in her impressionistic paintings, while Bilotta depicts contemporary abstract landscapes of the Gold Coast in her acrylic with resin painting. Ron Nicolleta introduces bold turquoise and magenta colors in his photograph of a New York City sunset.
“There is an eclectic art group here. There’s really something for every eye to see,” says gallery owner Terry Falquero. “We strive to exhibit, promote and inspire Long Island artists in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.”
WHEN/WHERE 12:30-5 p.m., Friday-Sunday or by appointment at Studio East Gallery, 120 Front St., Greenport.
