‘Life’ at D19 Sports Lounge & Eatery

The underground EDM (“Electronic Dance Music”) scene continues to pick up steam, and, while the major clubs still do the biggest business with mainstream music , alternative dance-powered events at smaller venues have been popping up on a regular basis – many of which are also quite cost-effective.

For fans of alternative beats (as well as deals), D19 Sports Lounge & Eatery in Lake Ronkonkoma is hosting a biweekly party known simply as “Life.”

Held every other Saturday, the bash features DJs who specialize in spinning subgenres (like techno, dubstep, tech-house and breaks), combining forces with selectors who provide sets woven from more popular dance styles (like house, electro and trance). On Saturday, April 21, mixers announced for the night include Subrox (breaks), Mike Martian (trance), Tommy Pockets (house) and Pauly D (not to be confused with reality TV star and DJ Paul “Pauly D” DelVecchio; electro). In addition, DJs Frank Clementi and DoME will drop tech-house and hip-hop in a “vs” simultaneously-spun section of the evening session.

Doors open at 9 p.m. with an open bar for women from 9 p.m.-10 p.m., with free admission for all.
