As the summer rolls on out in Montauk, a “hot” party to consider involves cooling down with some tequila-spiked beverages.

Montauk Downs State Park is recognized by many for its golf course, its swimming pools and other activities, but the Lessing’s Group – responsible for such spots as Library Cafe in Farmingdale (274 Main St., 516-752-7678), Post Office Cafe in Babylon (130 W. Main St., 631-669-9224) and Mirabelle Tavern in Stony Brook (150 Main St., 631-751-0555) – now has an event space open at the ‘Downs called 360° East. Available for weddings and other occasions, the room is hosting a soiree open to the public on Thursday, June 27, and will run weekly until Labor Day: “Margarita Madness.”

The party is all about specialty margaritas, which will be served for $5 – but Heineken and Heineken Lights will also be available (for $3 out by the pool). In addition, there will be live music, and for the grand opening get-together the Babylon-based band Soul Junkies will bring their brand of reggae to the house stage.

As for the drinks, the prices are pretty reasonable for sure, but anyone looking for an extra perk should head online to, where a special deal awaits. Just click where it offers a free beverage, and you’ll receive an email that reads “Your 360º East at Montauk Downs offer is here;” just show it at the event to claim that freebie.

Doors open at 6 p.m., for a 21-and-over crowd; for more information check out, and
