“Where do I check in?” Alec Baldwin said as he arrived at last weekend's Guild Hall Summer Gala in East Hampton celebrating artist Richard Prince. “Alec, you don’t need to check in,” was the reply.

We were also checking out honorees Martha Stewart (seen here) and Alexandra Richards. Richards, daughter of Rolling Stone Keith and supermodel Patti Hansen, spun classic tunes at the reception at the historic Gardiner estate. She sported a runway pout. Stewart sported a new grandma glow.

“My granddaughter is coming out tomorrow,” said Stewart, who has a house in East Hampton. “I can’t wait to see her. It’s her first visit to the Hamptons.”

What else contributes to that healthy glow? “I worked out this morning. I horseback ride. I eat really well ... from my garden.”

Stewart said that she's looking forward to the fall. “We’re planning the next season of our television show, which starts Sept. 26 on the Hallmark channel. And doing a Halloween special for Hallmark. We’re going to start filming in two weeks. So, I’m a little out of season.”

Getting back to tomorrow. Stewart presides over a matriarchy. When she looks at daughter Alexa, what does she see of herself? “Her good sense of motherhood,” Martha replied. “And she’s a good mother.”
