Last night, after hitting a party on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, a friend and I looked for a place to grab a bite before a CMJ show. After rambling along Broome Street into SoHo, we ducked into an inviting establishment, Brinkley's Pub & Kitchen.
The interior was cozy, the lobster club was tasty and the beer and wine lists were composed almost entirely of libations straight from Long Island's east end. Draft beers included Greenport Harbor Ale, Blue Point Toasted Lager and Southampton IPA, which I tried, and enjoyed. The wine list was also full of Long Island favorites from Wollfer Estate, Channing Daughters, Shinn Estate, Onabay Vineyards and The Grapes of Roth.
It's nice when a restaurant supports local establishments, especially when there are so many great wines and beers produced right here.
