Real Housewife Sonja Morgan is hearing the siren song of Hollywood these days, but says she still feels most comfortable building her brand of “luxury on a dime.” We caught up with her at the Parrish Art Museum’s Midsummer party July 9 in Southampton.
“I’m trying to bring everything together,” she said, listing some of the products that could bear her stamp: “toaster oven cookbook ... the linens, the glasses. That brings the whole lifestyle of Sonja under one ceiling: affordable elegance.”
Sonja first started making gourmet meals in her toaster oven after she separated from JP Morgan heir John Morgan. Using the big oven didn’t feel right for smaller meals.
So far this summer, her chiseled good looks have kept her away from the Hamptons full time. “I have an agent, so I have to go out to LA a lot now,” she told us. “People are calling me to do some acting and cameos on other shows. I don’t know that I want to. I can’t be 100 places at once. But I’ll always make room for my charities.”
She plans on being here full time in August. Her daughter rides at Two Trees Stables. And Sonja loves to garden … in her Wellies and nothing but.
