Located deep within Hampton Bays, far from the Montauk Highway main drag, Beach Bar has long been an institution for those looking to attend an accessible and raucous party.
It takes some practice getting there, however (East Montauk Highway to CR-32/ Ponquogue Avenue, left onto Springville Road, fourth right is Foster Avenue), but once you do you'll be privy to an outdoor deck and an indoor space with lots of room for dancing.
And unlike most of the Hamptons spots that declare summertime during Memorial Day weekend, this spot is doing its official "Summer Kick-Off Weekend" during the actual first days of the season (summer solstice occurs Tuesday, June 21).
The two-day celebration starts Friday, June 24, with DJ Doug O'Mara -- veteran of the East End scene -- playing popular music and dance beats while guests enjoys drink specials until 11:30 p.m.
On Saturday, June 25, DJ Johnny Budz arrives to work the crowd. With a resume full of radio and TV shows plus a long list of albums and remixes, his presence is usually good for some massive attendance.
Party starts at 9 p.m. for the Friday bash, 10 p.m. for the Saturday event, with a general door cover charge in the neighborhood of $10 to $15 (21 and over).
