Normally a spot thought of as a summer stop, Off Key Tikki in Patchogue has been putting in some hefty Halloween-time hours this year as well.
Already serving as the launching point for the Patchogue Riverfront Committee’s “Haunted Pirates Voyage,” this riverside venue will be hosting staged performances of “The Rocky Horror Show” on Sunday, Oct. 27, Thursday, Oct. 31 and Saturday, Nov. 2.
The production is by way of the CM Performing Arts Center in Oakdale, which is also scheduled to do “Horror” at its home base (931 Montauk Hwy., 631-218-2810) during weekends in November. However, unlike the midnight shows to be held on its own stage, the ‘Tikki performances will take place at 7 p.m., except for the Nov. 2, which is slated for 9 p.m. The shows will also be abbreviated versions, although all the songs from the original “Rocky Horror Picture Show” film will be performed. In addition, Off Key offers a heated enclosure, so although warm dress is still for the best, at least some of the Patchogue River’s possible chill should be reduced.
Tickets are available for General Admission (seating at the bar; $10), table seating (on the upper level, includes a complimentary "Rocky Punch" cocktail; $20) and VIP (cabaret seating at the closest level, includes the free "Rocky Punch" cocktail and show props; $30). Purchase can be made at the door or online at brownpapertickets.com; for more information check out Off Key Tikki at offkeytikki.com and facebook.com/oktikki.
