Looking to dance the weekend away? It just so happens some of the biggest DJs in the business are spinning both Friday and Saturday around the Island; here’s a breakdown of who’s working where:

While there aren’t many female DJs on the scene, Jenny Costa continues to play to huge crowds as she has done since the 1980s. Also a “Resident DJ” on 103.5 WKTU-FM, on Friday, Aug. 12 she’ll be delivering her usual sets of dance, hip-hop, classics and popular tunes at Four Food Studio in Melville. No cover, with ladies receiving half-priced drinks from 9 p.m.-12 a.m.

Ordinarily, Dublin Deck of Patchogue is strictly a nighttime club – but for one day only, the tiki-styled venue that sits along the Patchogue River is doing a daytime party. Expect a possible door cover around $10-$20, along with table service set for the special daybeds and other furniture that will arrive for the affair, as well as a special appearance from the very in-demand and frequently busy DJ Theo Pisani. Doors open at noon; call 631-872-1248 to book VIP service.

Best known for their many remixes and past work at New York City mega-club Pacha, Peter Bailey and Richie Santana will once again perform under the one name of Mindcontrol. Not normally found playing on Long Island, the duo will headline the day at Neptune Beach Club in East Quogue – also on Saturday, also at noon. Tickets are $15 in advance (could be more at the door), with table and cabana reservations available at 516-987-7560 or at

Beloved in cities like Sao Paulo (Brazil), Miami and NYC, DJ Ross One has played for celebrity clientele and even handled some dates for Prince during his last tour. However, sometime after 9 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13 he’ll be coming to Georgica Restaurant and Lounge in Wainscott for a very rare Hamptons gig. Dress to impress and expect to buy expensive table service for entrance. Contact for guest list and reservations.
