Although many of the big Cinco de Mayo parties have been announced in the past few weeks, there are still a few you might not be aware of. So if your plans aren't set in stone, here are three you to consider:
- Once the mixer for rap act Young Black Teenagers, today better-known as a celebrity DJ and producer, he is DJ Skribble, and sometime after 8 p.m. he'll be manning the decks at Mulcahy's in Centereach for a night of party music and drink specials (on Corona, Patron and Jose Cuervo tequila, margaritas). Cover is $8 for guys, $5 for girls.
- The Nutty Irishman of Farmingdale is doing a happy hour from 3 to 8 p.m. with $4 Dos Equis and $10 margarita "fishbowls" (yes, they are actually fishbowl-size servings) as well as $5 Mexican pizzas. The cover starts at 7 p.m. ($5) with a trip to Mexico given away once an hour starting at 6 p.m. Furthermore, it's also Ladies Night, meaning women drink free starting at 9 p.m.
- Still out to scoop all the yet-to-open summer clubs on the East End, 75 Main in Southampton will serve the South Fork with music from DJs Jason P and Jay Arroyave starting at 10 p.m. Cover is $10, with $6 mixed drinks, $3 beer and $2 tequila shots all night.
