The two-star restaurant at the Glen Head railroad station, fork & vine, has winterized its menu.
Additions include short-rib sliders, blue-cheese-crusted filet mignon with roasted shallot sauce, salmon with Cheddar polenta and a tomato-sherry riff on caponata, plus sauteed jumbo crabcakes. You'll also find a traditional beef stew with carrots and potatoes as part of the tune-up.
