With all this great summer weather, the opening of another outdoor place to eat and drink seems particularly welcome. At the Garden City Hotel, the new Patio Bar offers al fresco pre-dinner cocktails and a light menu.
Chef Michael Mandato’s repertoire includes marinated olives in a mini crock ($5), a choice of hummus or labneh (a Middle Eastern yogurt dip) with seasoned flatbreads ($5), as well as a charcuterie platter ($9).
Come fall, Mandato also has plans to open a steak restaurant at the hotel, to be called Polo.
