A change in ownership and a change of name doesn't add up to total change for the former Jin East. Now known as Kinha Sushi Japanese Fusion Cuisine, the Garden City spot retains most of its old crew and many of its old menu items.
But the bill of fare has been updated, according to new owner Paula Wang. The menu now features hibachi-style (i.e. not cooked at a hibachi table) items, as well as such new dishes as shiitake-mushroom soup and a shiitake-avocado salad.
Kitchen chef Yu San chef remains, joined by a new sushi chef Jason Chen. Intriguing items on their menu include lobster-mango seviche ($15) hibachi shrimp and scallops ($19) and miso black cod ($12 appetizer, $23 main course).
