Summer unofficially begins on Long Island this weekend. Just check the traffic reports.

But all destinations are not on the North Fork or in the Hamptons. Here are three spots that offer fine food and water views that beckon year-round.

Gatsby’s Landing in Roslyn offers a view of the pond, styled to impress Jay himself. The spirited cuisine helps, too. Recommended: cacio e pepe made with spaghettini; baked sea bass; fluke crudo; tuna crudo; grilled sirloin steak; chicory salad; grilled octopus; smoked salmon club sandwich.

Gatsby’s Landing, 1362 Old Northern Blvd., Roslyn; 516-277-2318, (Expensive)

Prime in Huntington handsomely takes you to the harbor and serves first-class fare. Recommended: the raw bar; sushi rolls; Tellers rib-eye steak; porterhouse steak for two; American bison rib-eye; crabcake; seared yellowfin tuna; caramelized figs; gnocchi. Plus there’s a spirited outdoor drinks scene.

Prime, 117 N. New York Ave., Huntington; 631-385-1515, (Expensive)

View in Oakdale does boast quite a view of Great South Bay and has summery style. Recommended: garganelli pasta with lobster; diver scallops with lobster-truffle risotto; root-beer-braised beef short ribs; the raw bar; yellowfin tuna tartare; Beijing duck tacos.

View, 3 Consuelo Pl., Oakdale; 631-589-2694, (Expensive)
