Pasta, Italian, Pizza
With the feel that recalls an earlier era when a pizzeria was more of a community gathering place, this Long Beach institution has been serving slices for half a century. The pies are the name of the game for sure, with regular, Grandma and Sicilian-style available--but if you'd rather go for something that needs a fork, chicken, veal and fish are set alongside some vegetarian entrées for full dinner dining. Salads and heroes are also on the menu, as is pasta, which can be had is dozens of varieties, recipes and sauces.

Established in 1962, this sprawling pizzeria-restaurant is a Long Beach institution.
"The Pepperoni slices feature 'real' sliced 'roni and not the pre-packaged stuff. Along with great fresh toppings the sauce is the best thing I have ever tasted," says Scott of Hempstead.
"The Pizza is fresh. The sauce is zesty and unadulterated. The cheese is chewy and tasty. The crust is properly crusted," says Bill of Long Beach.
