Remember when the only Girl Scout Cookie products were Girl Scout Cookies? Those days belong to the Jurassic pre-licensing-agreement past. Girl Scouts of the USA has now partnered with Connecticut-based Bigelow Tea to produce two brews inspired by the popular cookies.
Thin Mints herbal tea is a caffein-free infusion flavored with mint and chocolate; Caramel & Coconut is a black tea featuring the two flavors. The teas are available at select Stop & Shop, Shoprite and King Kullen markets and on amazon.com. Each box of 20 foil-wrapped tea bags is about $4.
They don’t stop with tea, those Girl Scouts. They’ve licensed their name (and scent) to Yankee Candle, so if you’d like your room to smell like Thin Mints, Trefoils, Chocolate Peanut Butter or Coconut Caramel Stripes, go to yankeecandle.com. (If you’d like your car to smell like Girl Scout Cookies, you can buy a “Car Jar” air freshener to hang off your rear view mirror.)
