Hunter’s Grill in Glen Cove was damaged in a fire Tuesday night. Fortunately, nobody was in the restaurant and no firefighters were injured.
In a phone conversation, Hunter's Grill co-owners Reginald Chaimov and Dennis Mavashev said they hope to rebuild and then reopen in another format (half bar, half family restaurant) following approval from the landlord and the local buildings department. Given the best case scenario, they estimate, that wouldn't happen for about a year.
Meanwhile, they're working on launching a higher-end restaurant, Innuendo in Port Washington. For more about that, click here.
