Between the coffee-and-baked-goods counter and the butcher shop at Grace's Marketplace is this 40-seater for in-house dining. And Grace's Trattoria East is just as tempting and flavorful as everything around it.

Placing a very good little eatery in a gourmet market, of course, allows the shopper to rest before completing a grocery order, and get re-energized, too. Arrive early for breakfast, have a refreshing lunch, or enjoy a quick dinner.

The choices include a tasty, thin-crust pizza capped with prosciutto, Parmesan, plum tomatoes and arugula; a hefty portion of spaghetti and meatballs; and moist, expertly crosshatched grilled swordfish, finished with soy-ginger sauce and paired with baby bok choy.

Five burgers compete, led by the sirloin production with smoked bacon, sauteed mushrooms, aioli and blue cheese. The sirloin steak wrap, cooked to order with sauteed onions, also is a winner, along with grilled shrimp on mixed greens.

Prices: $12 for the burger, wrap or pizza; $17 for the spaghetti or the shrimp; $23 for the grilled swordfish. The restaurant is currently open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

If you're intent on dessert, pick one at the bakery.

Keeping with the convenience of Grace's, it's all available to eat in or to take out.
