More than 50 brewers are expected to participate in the event, which will include barbecue prepared by Maple Tree BBQ of Riverhead. Visitors also may take part in the yearly Boston Beer Co. nationwide contest to choose a new brew to be offered by Samuel Adams. An oaked ale and a maple-pecan porter are in the running.
General admission tickets to the festival are $55. No one less than 21 years old is permitted to attend. The ticket includes a souvenir tasting glass that may be used for 2-ounce samples from any brewery or winery participant.
Advance purchase of tickets is recommended. Go to northforkcraftbeerfestival.com.
The festival will go on, rain or shine, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
