Farmhouse has a new chef.

Jeffery Slade has joined the New American restaurant, which last year earned a two-star rating in Newsday. He succeeds Richard Lanza, who's now at North Fork Oyster Company in Greenport.

Slade's summer menu includes appetizers such as tomato-and-Crenshaw melon gazpacho, creamy corn risotto with grilled shrimp and summer truffles, and ginger-marinated yellow tomato salad. The restaurant reopened last month.

Among the main dishes are Long Island duck breast with plum sauce, sweet-potato puree, spinach and grilled endive; swordfish with asparagus, oyster mushrooms, potato rosti and Port; and four-cheese ravioli with porcini mushrooms, English peas and broth sparked by Parmesan cheese.

For dessert, pick from an apricot semifreddo, raspberry sorbet, flourless chocolate cake and caramel creme brulee.

Farmhouse, 45 Front St., Greenport; 631-477-6788.
