Widow’s Hole Oyster Company is hosting an oyster roast on Sept. 4 at company headquarters, that is, right on the beach in Greenport. The event is the sixth in a series of nine “plate to gate” dinners organized by Bobo, the Manhattan restaurant-club-salon, in which the Bobo crew, led by chef Patrick Connolly, travels to local farms and food producers to celebrate their bounty in situ.
Dinner starts with oysters on the half shell, grilled sausages and smoked bluefish pate (with Blue Duck bread). Then it’s on to a trio of salads, grilled corn and coleslaw. The seafood courses are grilled striped bass, tautog and porgies, grilled oysters and steamed shellfish with potatoes and aioli. Dessert is biscuits and berries.
Tickets for adults are $100 for adults, $50 for kids ages 12 to 20, $25 for kids under 12. Prices do not include tax but do include all food, drink and gratuity.
