Could winter be over already? The new season of "Royal Pains" (the USA Network series set in the Hamptons, Thursdays at 9 p.m.) just jump-started summer. And at red/bar brasserie in Southampton, things will start heating up on Wednesday, Feb. 9, when the restaurant reopens after its winter break.
From then on, the place will serve dinner from 6 p.m. every Wednesday to Sunday. The only Monday it will be open is Valentine’s Day, when chef Erik Nodeland offers a three-course meal for $35 a person. The regular menu will be available, as well, with such dishes as truffled chicken breast with wild mushroom risotto and slow braised beef short ribs with broccoli rabe, creamy polenta and orange gremolata.
