Are you missing your weekly visit to the farmers market? It will be months until Long Island’s two dozen farmers markets reopen, but in the meantime, there’s G & G Long Island Winter Farmers Market.

“G & G” are Jaime Greci and her brother-in-law Richard Graepel. Greci’s brother, Thomas Williams, owns All You Knead Artisan Bakery in upstate Beacon. All You Knead is a presence at many Westchester farmers markets—outdoors in the summer and indoor in the winter. When Williams asked his sister, a New Hyde Park resident, why there were no indoor markets on Long Island, she had no good answer. So she and Graepel started one.

Among the vendors are

All You Knead Artisan Bakery (Beacon, NY)
Horman’s Best Pickles (Glen Cove, NY)
Madura Fams (Orange County, NY)
Migliorelli Farms (Dutchess County, NY)
Ronnybrook Dairy (Hudson Valley, NY)
Sannino’s Bella Vita Vineyard (North Fork)
The Big Cheese (selling Long Island-made artisan cheese)

The Saturday market runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and alternates between Huntington and Northport:

Sweet Hollow Hall
West Hills County Park, Gwynne Rd., Huntington
(Gwynne Road is off of Sweet Hollow Road, just north of the Northern State Parkway)
