The outdoor Backyard Restaurant at Solé East in Montauk will host an evening of Italian food and film on Saturday, June 15, at 7 p.m. to benefit the Montauk Playhouse Community Center Foundation. If you purchase tickets before Saturday, June 8, the price of the fundraiser is $75; afterward, it goes up to $100 a person.
The chef for that evening will be Ralph Pagano, who is executive chef of Alba restaurant at Sole on the Ocean in Florida and has appeared on TV's Iron Chef and Hell’s Kitchen.
The event kicks off with a 7 p.m. cocktail hour of appetizers, beer, wine, sangria and specialty cocktails. An Italian buffet dinner, at 8 p.m. features a cash bar. The film — the 1960 romantic comedy, “It Started in Naples,” with Sophia Loren and Clark Gable — will be screened outdoors at 9 p.m.
