Besito, the Mexican-cuisine star with branches in Huntington and Roslyn, is making a weekend of Day of the Dead festivities with special dishes.
The Day of the Dead, or Dia de los Muertos, is a popular Mexican holiday centered around eating. while celebrating deceased family and friends. It takes place on Nov. 1, which coincides with the Roman Catholic holiday of All Saints' Day. All Souls' Day is on Nov. 2.
Besito offers three dishes for the party: tortillas stuffed with pinto beans and chorizo sausage, topped with fresh cheese ($12); chile ancho rellenos, stuffed with beef ($22); and pan-seared Chilean sea bass with sweet-plantain puree and pickled onion salad ($24).
The fare will be available Oct. 29 to Nov. 1.
