Our own Michael Mignano, owner of Port Washington’s Main Street Bakery, is appearing in the premier episode of the new reality show, “Fat Chef.” The show airs Thursday at 10 p.m. on Food Network. Today’s paper featured an interview I did with the now-less-portly chef; read it here.
While Mignano talked to me about weight-loss strategies, I enjoyed one of his Main Street Candy Bars, that unholy amalgam of cashews and macadamia nuts, caramel, ganache, caramelized Rice Krispies, dark chocolate coating and Hawaiian sea salt.
