Have a pisco sour and taste the fare of Peru, a major dining destination in South America. There are several Long Island restaurants that specialize in the eclectic, multicultural cuisine. Here are three.

Named for the city that once was the capital of the Inca empire, this casual restaurant brings you to the high air with mixed seafood ceviche, corvina ceviche, octopus salad, juicy chicken combo plates, tamalito with chicken or pork, stuffed potato patties, fried steak, grilled beef heart.

Informal and full-flavored, Los Andes reaches its heights with shrimp or whitefish ceviche, a fried seafood platter, marinated beef heart, avocado salad, rotisserie chicken, Peruvian-Chinese style fried rice with seafood or chicken, steak with onions, seafood soup.

Colorful presentations and considerable variety are the hallmark of La Candela. The selections include potatoes with green sauce or with hot yellow pepper, mixed seafood ceviche, steak with sausage and fries, fried rice with chicken or pork, beef heart kebab, fried shrimp.
