If you've wanted to bring home a taste of Almond in Bridgehampton, the three-star restaurant has opened a market next door.
L & W Market, with initials from restaurateur Eric Lemonides and executive chef Jason Weiner, sells a wide range of breakfast fare, sandwiches, salads and more for take-out.
The market also specializes in fermented food under the "Kimchi Jews" label from chef Weiner and chef de cuisine Jeremy Blutstein. There is also coffee, teas, pastries, dressings, sandwiches, salads and items as varied as creamed herring, duck confit, whipped feta, and Moroccan-style lamb meatballs by the pound.
A whole, steamed 2 ½ pound lobster is $40; a lobster roll on a potato bun, $14. Sandwiches incude bahn mi and curried chicken, $13 each; salumi for $15; and $10 for peanut butter and jelly on multigrain bread.
Jarred items take in local ramps, garlic scapes, bread and butter pickles, Sriracha mayo and kimchi mayo.
L & W Market is open every day: 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday; 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday; 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday; and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday.
