Open seasonally, the Malibu Shore Club (1500 Lido Blvd., Lido Beach) is open to all Town of Hempstead residents, and offers beach access, and features an arcade, an ice cream parlor and the Maliblue Oyster Bar restaurant (that is open to the general public as well). Sushi is now being served out on the patio — as well as in the main dining room — of Maliblue Oyster Bar in the Malibu Shore Club in Lido Beach. The restaurant is open to the public.

Over the winter, a new sushi bar was constructed indoors, alongside the oyster and clam bar. Chefs from Himawari in Long Beach are doing the rolling and cutting at both lunch and dinner. From their menu, you can get an eel and avocado roll ($6), a Malibu roll with shrimp tempura, mango and spicy tuna with spicy king crab on top ($15) and a sushi or sashimi deluxe entree ($25). Maliblue's main menu, which is casual and American, features such items as a fried oyster sandwich ($12), a burger ($9) and a BLT chopped salad ($9).

While the outdoor patio doesn’t afford a direct ocean view, you can have your rainbow roll ($12) or grilled chicken Caesar wrap ($11) within sight of the pool and the dunes.

Maliblue Oyster Bar is open to the public and located in the Malibu Shore Club, 1500 Lido Blvd., Lido Beach, 516-442-2799.
