Mitch & Toni’s American Bistro in Albertson will mark the first night of Passover, Friday, April 6, with a price-fixed holiday dinner — not a formal seder — at $45 a person.
The meal begins with chopped liver and haroseth (chopped nuts and apples) followed by a first course of house-made gefilte fish. Next comes matzoh ball soup. Among main-course options are sweet and sour brisket, sauteed salmon or mushroom-stuffed chicken breast. Accompaniments include asparagus, tzimmes and potato gratin. Dinner concludes with either flourless chocolate cake with chocolate ice cream, house-made sorbet or Passover lemon cake with mixed berry compote. The meal is not kosher.
The restaurant will also offer fish specials for Good Friday, also April 6.
