South Edison, one of the season's new restaurants in Montauk, is keeping busy pre-dinner. It's a post-swim, half-price deal for beer and oysters  from 3 to 5 p.m., starting on Thursday.

Draft beer dips to between $1.25 to $3.50; oysters will go for $1 each; and a ceviche-style lobster slider is on the menu for $10. The eatery's regular  raw-bar menu also is available.

Todd Mitgang, a veteran of Cascabel Taqueria and Kittichai in Manhattan, is the chef. The restaurant is a short walk from the town beach, on the former site of Aqua East, Aqua Terre and Caswells.

South Edison, 17 S. Edison St., Montauk; 631-668-4205.
