Bin 107 in St. James has closed and its immediate predecessor, O's Food and Wine Bar, is returning.

O's will come back with a tapas-oriented menu, said  Philippe Corbet, O's chef and managing partner. He expects the new O's to open imminently, perhaps as early as tonight. In its earlier life, O's earned a two-star rating in Newsday.

Bin 107, a New American eatery, lasted less than a year. The owners plan to concentrate on their other St. James venture, Ara International Grille & Bar. Mike Schumm, owner of Ara, said business was good at his place. "We'll keep plugging away," he added. The chef at Ara is John Orphanos, a veteran of Canterbury's in Oyster Bay and the departed Gabrielle's in Rockville Centre.

O's is coming back.
