Oktoberfest beers are being poured across Long Island.

BrickHouse Brewery & Restaurant in Patchogue has a malty, food-friendly one. Try yours with a selection from the restaurant's Oktoberfest menu, which will be available through Oct. 5.

The choices include good, ale-braised bratwurst and knockwurst, set on a 'kraut made with Brussels sprouts. A thatch of fried onions tops the dish. Also notable: smoked pork chops with potato pancakes, plus sauteed bacon, onion and spinach.

Roasted beet salad with red onions and goat cheese arrives with a bacon vinaigrette. But if you want to go whole hot, sample the bacon-wrapped pretzel sticks, which are deep-fried and sent out with a Dunkelweiss cheese sauce.

German chocolate cake is the elemental finale.
