On Saturday, Aug. 6, Old Westbury Gardens will celebrate its newly restored 19th century barn on the property with a farm-to-table dinner in the gardens.
It starts with a cocktail reception a stone’s throw from flowering lotus and water lilies in the walled garden.
Cocktails are followed by a three-course dinner — in addition to a charcuterie table and shared appetizers — from chef Kim Klopstock of Lily and the Rose Catering of Saratoga Springs and Manhattan.
Local fruits and vegetables are the stars of the dinner, along with local fish and Long Island duck.
Tickets are $150, or $135 for members, which includes beer and wine or cocktails.
