Nader’s Fish on the Run, spawned by the nearby restaurant Bravo Nader, got into the Huntington swim last Sunday, opening in the space that used to house Taxi’s Grille.
As its name implies, chef-owner Nader Gebrin's casual new eatery offers a gently priced seafood-centric menu, to eat in or take out. So far, Gebrin said, top sellers include fish and chips, a tuna burger, a lobster roll on a croissant and lobster bisque. Health-conscious eaters can get turkey meatballs over whole wheat pasta and a baked vegetable burger with tahini sauce. On the opposite end, there’s also the “fat boy" beef burger and Southern fried chicken.
Prices run from $4.50 (Huntington clam chowder) to $18.95 (grilled Chilean sea bass), with the average dish around $10.
Like so many restaurants in Huntington (including Bravo Nader, Fado and Sapsuckers Hops & Grub), this one is closed Tuesdays.
Nader’s Fish on the Run is at 217 New York Ave., Huntington, 631-423-6300.
