Roe’s Casa Dolce, the Rockville Centre bakery, has opened a second location in Merrick. Jennifer Rivera, who owns the store with her husband, baker George Rivera, said that no baking is done at the new store, but it receives shipments from the Rockville Centre mother ship two to three times a day.
The Merrick location, which opened on July 30, has tables to accommodate 10 coffee-drinking, pastry-eating customers. The Rockville Centre store seats closer to 30 but, Rivera said, “this store is more spacious, and it’s more in our style than Rockville Centre.”
The style of the original Rockville Centre store belonged to founder Rosemarie Caruso, who sold to the Riveras when she decamped to Staten Island in 2010.
Roe’s Casa Dolce is at 1756 Merrick Ave., Merrick, 516-442-4911
