If Long Island can never have too many sushi restaurants, then make that double for The East End. Accordingly, last month, Shiki slipped into the vacated East Hampton digs of Bamboo, which also served Asian fare.
The centerpiece of the "neo Japanese" menu is raw fish. All the requisites are accounted for: appetizers such as yellowtail jalapeño ($15), rock shrimp ($15) and miso cod ($12) as well as a long list of fancy rolls with such names as “volcano” ($16), “sweetheart” ($20) and “American dream” ($20).
Non-sushi entrees include Peking duck ($32) and beef negimaki ($20).
