Entering Huntington’s ever-changing restaurant scene is XO Wine & Chocolate Bar, which launches Thursday at 5 p.m. in the space that last housed Mare Luna.
The driving culinary force is Christopher Lano, who was executive chef at the former Tre Scalini Ristorante in Huntington and, after that, cooked at Paris Las Vegas. Lano’s New American bill of fare includes raw bar items (salmon tartare with cucumber jalapeño slaw, $10), small plates (New Zealand lamb chops with candied bacon and maple glaze, $12) and large plates (pan seared duck breast finished with a chocolate-cherry reduction, $24).
On the chocolate menu: the "signature" chocolate soup with banana strawberry sundae ($11) and a peanut butter-chocolate pretzel tart with roasted banana gelato ($10).
Wines may be ordered by the glass, flight and bottle.
