It’s not so amazing that I had two organic omelets at two different restaurants within the span of a couple of weeks. What is remarkable, though, is that both restaurants are located steps away from one another in Amityville.
The more recent breakfast stop was at Park Avenue Grill, the new name of the recently remodeled Rebecca’s Cafe. There, I had a piquant and so-satisfying organic Spanish omelet stuffed with chorizo, bell peppers, jalapeños, Monterey Jack cheese and wisps of sauteed onion. Organic pancakes studded with mixed berries were wholesome and light. The place, which also offers nonorganic choices, serves lunch, too. Gluten-free and vegan choices are featured at both meals.
