What’s long been missing from the Huntington restaurant scene? Persian cuisine, for one thing.  But not for much longer. Within the next week or so, Ravagh Persian Grill of Roslyn Heights aims to open a new Suffolk County branch in the space that last housed Blond. The menu will be identical to the one in Roslyn, according to owner Masoud Tehrani.

A perennial Roslyn Heights favorite is jujeh kebab, skewered chunks of Cornish hen marinated in lemon and saffron before being grilled. Other dishes to anticipate in Huntington: ash reshteh (a thick green vegetable soup) and khoresh fesenjan (chicken cooked with crushed walnuts in pomegranate paste).

Stay tuned for updates.

Ravagh Persian Grill will be at 355 Main St., Huntington, 631-923-2050.
