Changes are afoot in Port Jefferson. Kebabaluba is kaput, metamorphosing intoThe Harbor Corner Kitchen. Same owners; new chef and concept.
The corner spot, situated across from the harbor, features the casual American menu of chef Patrick Trovato. Trovato said he's particularly proud of his custom-ground double cheeseburger ($6.99), Philly cheesesteak ($7.99) and shrimp po’boy wrap ($10.99). Southern fried wings are big here, available with a variety of house-made sauces — Asian peanut, honey mustard and Buffalo, to name a few.
Dinnertime, you can get rigatoni with sausage and broccoli rabe ($14.99), pan-roasted chicken under a brick ($15.99) and a Black Angus rib eye steak ($24.99) that’s described as “grilled to perfection.” A tall order, perfection.
The Harbor Corner Kitchen is at 109 W. Broadway, Port Jefferson, 631-474-7454
