It's not just falling leaves that say autumn. Just check out chef Paul Govin’s new fall menu at WAVE Restaurant & Lounge in Port Jefferson for a taste of the season.
For a starter, there’s chipotle butternut squash soup. New entrees include braised beef short rib with horseradish mashed potatoes as well as curried pumpkin risotto. At lunch, you can get a smoked chicken wrap with grilled apples, bacon, Cheddar, dried cranberries, red onion and horseradish-apple mayo. Or else truffled sirloin sliders with caramelized shallots and melted Gruyere on a pretzel roll.
What to imbibe? There's an “apple harvest” cocktail (Stoli gala apple vodka, St. Germain liqueur, apple cider and caramel) as well as drinkable “pumpkin pie” (pumpkin Schnapps, Stoli vanilla, Irish cream and cinnamon).
